Orders, signed by Tinsukia Magistrate additional district of Monjit Borkakota, read, “to take all prevention steps to prevent Covid-19, and to maintain social distance in society in accordance with government guidelines, it has become necessary to limit meetings.
People and all kinds of procession, Cultural events throughout Tinsukia Regency.
It has emerged for me that preventative measures for effective virus prevention and detention in this district are needed.

“Commands that further declare that everyone who violates the order will be charged with section 188 IPC and other relevant legal provisions.
All officers responsible for police stations in Tinsukia have been directed to enforce orders strictly.

Meanwhile, Tinsukia recorded only 9 Covid cases between 30 October to 5 November while no registered deaths, the district currently only has 14 active cases.
