Guwahati: After Bhabesh Kalita took over as President Assam BJP in June, the first two-day executive meeting of the ruling party began in North Guwahati from Wednesday.
The Chairperson of the Ministry of Himanta Buswa Sarma and the Union Minister and former CM Sarbanou Sonowal present at the meeting.
Rupam Goswami, spokesman for the BJP State Unit, said, “We discussed on a road map to win polls and assembly by selection for six seats that are currently lying empty,” he added.
The chair lying empty is Mariani, Majuli, Thowra, Gossaingaon, Tamulpur and Bhabanipur.
In an effort to further strengthen the party at Assam, BJP in power was maintained to improve his organizational districts from 39 to 45.
Overcoming party workers, Sonowal urged them to strengthen the government image led by BJP.
