Assam BJP pushes more MLA women in assembly

Guwahati: BJP in Assam, which promises only seven female candidates in the election of the legislative assembly held earlier this year, has now focused on an increase in the number of members of 126 in 2026.
The cell president calls BJP, Angoorlata Deka, on Tuesday said the minister’s chairman Himanta Buswa Sarma in the cell executive who has recently concluded has instructed it to work in such a way that the house saw at least 25 Mola women from the party in the assembly selection of 2026.
“This has encouraged women and female cell workers from parties in all countries.
Requires more representatives of women in assembly to laugh at problems related to women, “he added.
He added that CM had convinced cells that the chair where BJP candidates for women would win in the election of the city council to be held early next year, will be provided for women for the next 10 years.
“CM words are very inspiring and encouraging.
We have started working for the city council selection and I’m sure women will definitely win the maximum seat,” he said.
But he admitted that women in the state were still hesitant to fight for the election.
“In the election of Panchayat in 2018, we see that women’s candidates do not want to compete.
We persuade and assure them to fight elections.
State women must be empowered politically for the development of the country,” he added.
