Guwahati: In a sustainable effort to reduce traffic congestion in solid Guwahati, Minister Himanta Buswa Sarma on Tuesday lay the new 480 meter foundation on Zoo Road Tiniali at a cost of around Rs 79 Crore.
CM has directed the Ministry of Public Works to complete the earlier development of the flyover so that it can be inaugurated before the bohag bihu in April next year.
The targeted duration for flyover construction is 18 months.
“The flyover will reduce traffic congestion at RG Bandarah Road for the most part.
To make a free drive traffic congestion on Aforesid Street, Rotary will also be built at a traffic intersection in Japorigog near the Assam Zoo soon,” he said
