Guwahati: The Head of Minister of Himanta Buswa Sarma has placed responsibility for all MLAS from the coalition of BJP leadership – BJP, AGP and UPPL – to focus on taking timely implementation of each government project in the respective electoral districts.
Parliamentarians from Assam, representing NDA, also attended an important meeting led by CM in Jakarta on Sunday.
This is the first of its type of meeting led by Sarma.
Closed Meeting Marathon which starts at around 9am on Sundays and contined until late in the afternoon, focusing on choosing the beneficiaries appropriate for the government scheme and ending illegal brokerage activities.
Speaking to the media, the cabinet minister Pijush Hazarika said, “Apart from MLAS, the leaders of our alliance political parties have been invited.
Push has sent MLAS to villages and their constituents to keep looking at the implementation of the scheme.
” While the legislator from Nda Fold was invited to Sunday’s meeting, Hazarika said in the next round, the MLAS from the opposition party would also be invited.
The MLAs know about various central government schemes such as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and the Ambitious State Government scheme such as Orunodoi, intended for families in need where women are the main caregivers.
Public Works Department scheme, health and sports departments are also taken to notifications from MLAS so that they can apply them to the benefits of their constituent residents.
“This is a kind of orientation program to ensure that the correct scheme is implemented in the field,” Hazarika said.
Some senior officials from several departments also attended a meeting to inform the ministers from ways in which the scheme was being implemented.
The first five months of the Himanta government Buswa Sarma had seen several anti-corruption drives against government officials.
The state government also cracked a whip on the land broker in a newest step to clean the office of corruption income.
About 500 land brokers were arrested from various parts of the country a few weeks ago.
