Assam CM Launches Civic Online Services, Distributing Cesspool Cleaners

Guwahati: Countries will now be able to use city services sit at home.
Minister of Himanta Minister Buswa Sarma on Friday launched a number of online services including, the procurement of instant trade licenses, property tax assessment and payment and building permits.
He also distributed a super sucker machine for Guwahati Municipal Corporation under the Guwahati Smart City project and the Cesspool cleanser installed in the truck.
CM also presents certificates, cash awards, and sanctions letters up to nine urban local bodies, who have received awards under the recent Swachh Surevekshan program.
A total of 10 super suckers were given to GMC to improve their de-foundation work so they could complete the decency of five river channels and 575 waterways in the city before the rainy season.
Super suckers are not given to the city body.
Cesspool cleaners are given to all city bodies.
Speaking on that occasion, Sarma said the state government had worked continuously to allow people to enjoy 24-hour government services.
“The government has adopted a technology solution to provide transparent, timely and accountable services,” he said.
Sarma added that from now on people can obtain building permits, trade licenses, student licenses and property taxes without going to the Civic office.
CM said the mission of the Civic Vasundhara region has received a positive response and nine lakh people have applied for the service.
He also gave a brief snapshot of all steps that the government had taken under the City City project.
