Assam: Dibrugarh University Vice-Chancellor Ranjit Tamuli Fired

Dibrugarh: Deputy Chancellor of Universitas Dibrugarh Ranjit Tamuli, who is under suspension since February 11, has been fired from his position by Governor Prof.
Jagdish Mukhi with direct effects.
He was previously suspended by the governor after the committee found the facts to indict him about financial irregularities, corruption and abuse of power while serving as V-C.
The governor then handed over allegations of V-C temporarily for Prof.
RNS Yadav from the Department of Almighty Sciences, the Faculty of Biology, University of Dibrugarh.
After his superlannel on February 28, Lila Kanta Nath, a professor of the Dibrugarh University Pharmacy Department, was appointed V-C (in-Charge).
Orders by Raj Bhavan on Monday stated, “The governor in his capacity as the Chancellor of the University of Dibrugarh (Section 8 (1) Law University of Dibrugarh, 1965), as the authority of the lifting of the University of VC Dibrugarh (section 10 (1) from the Law University of Dibrugarh , 1965) and in carrying out the power given to Him in terms of section 10 (1) of the Law University Dibrugarh, 1965 read with part 18 of Assam General Clauses Act, 1915 …
