Assam govt will Closely deal with Electricity theft, States Bimal Borah

DIBRUGARH: Assam electricity ministry Bimal Borah on Monday said that the government will deal with electricity theft.
Addressing a media conference at APDCL’s workplace at Dibrugarh, Borah reiterated they would leave no rock unturned to prevent electricity theft.
“APDCL includes a’no tolerance’ policy for power theft.
Various teams throughout the nation have mastered a anti-theft to curb such an illegal practice.
Lately, the division launched a large crackdown against power theft in Jokai, Bongaon, Mohanaghat along with Grambazar region of Dibrugarh and falsified those folks who’ve obtained power through illegal ways.
The section has fined the people who were captured during the poll.
