JORHAT: The state government approved the addition of 452 hectares to 1,085.53 square kilometers and Kaziranga National Park and Tiger reserves on Tuesday.
The new area is the 10th additional park under the Biswanath district in the state.

According to notice, the 10th additional area starts from the southeastern corner of the Monabari afforestation center on the 6th border of additional and running along the monabari plantation boundary in the east and then further east.

The southern limit runs along the North Bank Brahmaputra River after the 6th additional boundaries of the park and in the South East Corner of Monabari Agorstestation Center.
