Guwahati: The singer and lyricom from Assam Apurba Bezbaruah, whose songs were sung by singers such as Asha Bhosle, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Udit Narayan and Bhupen Hazarika, died at a private hospital in the city on Wednesday.
He was 70.Bezbaruah was accepted to eliminate the polyclinic after he suffered a brain stroke.
Massam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma lamented the death of a famous musician.
He said, “He (Bezbaruah) has taken Assam’s music to another level through his extraordinary creation.
His demise is a loss that cannot be improved for the assamese and country music industry.”
