Guwahati: A man from Nalbari Assam has allegedly killed his wife when he refused to give him Rs 10 to buy ‘Gutkha.’ The incident occurred at the Wee Hours on Saturday in Chatimari Village in Nalbari.
The deceased was identified as Haloi (38) and the defendant was her husband Narayan Haloi.
“Narayan who was angry repeatedly kicked his wife with anger which resulted in his death,” said a police officer.
After the incident, Narayan tried to cover the murder and told the local residents that his wife died of several diseases.
He also tried to do his last ceremony but relatives and locals his wife demanded post-mortem before the funeral and told the police.
Police Mukalmua arrived immediately rushed to the place and took Narayan along with the body to the police station.
