GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), has planned a Class X Board exam schedule for 2022 March with a given probability outbreak 19th Covid third wave.
Even when the situation Covid have shown a marked improvement in the state, which has resulted in total reopening of educational institutions, the sources SEBA said the process of filling out an online form for the certificate of leaving secondary school (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) has been scheduled on 25 November to December 18 in view of the exam schedule in March.
Both SBA and Assam Higher Secondary Education Board (AHSEC) faced criticism from this year’s trustees for not doing X and XII Board exams class earlier this year before the second wave hit the country and the electoral council announced.
“No one knows when the third wave Covid-19 will strike.
Taking into account the increase in cases Covid of April in the last two years, we did not want to take the risk and delay the examination schedule citing the disappearance of class offline,” a senior official SEBA told TOI on Tuesday.
In June this year, the Assam government should cancel the examination of the State Council of Class X and XII for this year due to the second wave.
But the state board having great difficulty in doing justice to the students, who do not have a record of the results of internal assessment.
This time SEBA has made a compilation of internal assessment marks a systematic examination.
Seba last month launched a digital portal for schools to keep signs of internal examination to evaluate if the error-free formula based board exams canceled because covid or other circumstances.
“Candidates who do not appear in the half-yearly examination of class X in October this year, will not be eligible to sit in the examination HSLC / AHM, 2022,” states a recent order issued by the Secretary of the SEBA, Suranjana Senapati.
While Covid outbreak in 2020 has forced SEBA to not do an exam board earlier this year, the assembly polls were announced for March-April.
“Although the students lost the offline class this year, the class X board exam is likely to begin from the first week of March next year,” an official said SEBA.
