Guwahati: Police in the Nagaon District Assam are recovering two alleged improvised explosive devices, wrapped in plastic.
Police District Supervisors Ananda Mishra said the bomb squad experts had been called to ascertain whether the items recovered were completely explosive or not.
Items suspected of being recovered from the Rantholi area in Nonii in Nagaon when several villagers worked in agriculture.
“Locals suspect the restored items as explosives will immediately tell us without delay and hence, we reach the place and take items in our prisoners.
Experts have been called to ascertain whether the items are explosives or not,” he added.
He said it seemed that items were hidden underground a few years ago.
