Assam Specialty Tea Auctioned for Rs 99,999 / Kg

Guwahati: One Kilo of Special Orthodox Tea Assam from Manohari Tea Estate in Dibrugarh took the price of RS 99,999 recording at the Guwahati Tea Auction Center (GTAC) on Tuesday.
It is made of shoots and no leaves, tea varieties look like 24 carat gold crystals.
These tea are the most expensive varieties sold at the auction in the country in 2018 when one kilo sells for Rs 39,100.
In less than a month, the gold needle tea variety produced by Donyi Polo Tea Estate in Arunachal Pradesh is the most expensive after KG taken Rs 40,000.
In 2019, Manohari Gold tea became more expensive after being taken 50,000 / kg in the auction.
This record was damaged in 2019 by the Orthodox Golden Tea maijan, which has taken Rs 70.501 for one kilo.
In a week in that year, a kilo of gold butterfly tea dikom Tea Estate sold for RS 75,000 in GTAC and remained in the top spot until Tuesday.
After recording the sale of gold tea, the owner of Estate Tea Manohari Rajan Lohia told the media, “We have always given priority to the quality of tea without compromise.” He said this special tea was made with a small bud with the best clove P-126.
The tea was sold to Saurav tea traders.
Assam, which produces around 55% of Indian tea, has more than 10 lakh tea workers in the organized sector working around 850 large plantations.
In addition, there is a small tea park owned by individuals.
