Guwahati: For the first time, the Assam Government will educate the country’s farmers on rice sales to government institutions, which will ensure the minimum support price (MSP) and terminate the intermediary “Raj”, where farmers have been deprived of reasonable prices for age 16.
He underlines the need for consciousness Massive among farmers for the success of rice procurement initiatives.
Some Government Institutions – FCI, AFCSCL, NACCF, NACOF, NCCF, and Asamb – have agreed to get 10 lakh MT Paddy from state farmers at MSP of Rs 1,940 per quintal.
“Gaon Sabha will be arranged on January 16 and will play an important role in making farmers aware of the benefits of the procurement drive,” he said.
CM also urges parliamentarians and MLA to take part active in gathering to make the procurement of drives successful.
“Because of the lack of appropriate procurement mechanisms and efforts made, the majority of rice produced by the first farmer at a reasonable price that seizes.
So, the state has decided to end such a situation.”
