Guwahati: The ban on sales and breaking from firecrackers except green during Diwali, imposed by the State Pollution Control Agency (PCB) in the order on October 22, has been detained because it is being reviewed by the Enresh state government “maintaining people’s sentiments”.
Arup PCB Chairman Kumar Misra said, “The order was reviewed by the government.
We are waiting for the government’s response.
There may be some relaxation in the order.” Himanta’s minister’s chairman Buswa Sarma on Monday night intervened on a ban on sales and broke out of firecrackers, except green, said “PCB issued orders without consulting with the government”.

He said all problems were being reviewed maintaining people’s sentiments in the mind.
PCB has been on October 22, issues a notification that imposes a complete ban to explode and sell all types of firecrackers, except green, up to further orders.
It said green crackers could only explode for two hours while Diwali starting at 8pm to 10 nights and from 6am to 8 am during the Puja Chhath.
For Christmas and New Year, the time is repaired from 11.55 pm until 12:30 a.m., according to the notice.
For other festivals, permissions must be taken from the deputy commissioner concerned for the use of only green crackers because it is no more than two hours, he added.
PCB, Assam, has issued an order in accordance with the national direction of the Green Tribunal (NGT) in 2020 and also takes into account pollution caused by firecrackers that have an impact on the respiratory health of groups of people who are vulnerable and can further aggravate the health of the Covid-19 patient condition, notification is said.
