New Delhi: Ahead of the seven phase assembly poll at Uttar Pradesh, a draw to decide on campaign timings by political parties in Doordarshan and Akashvani were taken out on Friday.
The main election of the additional Chief, Dr.
Brahm Dev Ram Tiwari said that all political parties had allocated a total of 1,798 minutes for broadcast.

He further said that Doordarshan Kendra will broadcast 16 days from February 5 to March 5 between 1pm and 3pm.

Similarly, there will be 14 days broadcast on Akashvani, carried out in 10 am to 11 in the morning.

Additional Chief Election Officers provide details of the time specified for broadcasts, “In this broadcast time, TMC is given 90 minutes, BSP 307, BJP 478, CPI 92, CPI 90, Congress 90, NPP 90, RLD 107 and SP allocated 303 minutes, at Doordarshan and Akashvani, separately.
“Meanwhile, the Indian Election Commission on Saturday will hold a meeting with the Secretary of the Union Health and Secretary of the Head of Head of five polls to review the prohibition of holding physical roadshows and demonstrations by political parties before the election.

Polls in Uttar Pradesh will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7.
