Hyderabad: After sending the Resolution of the State Assembly to the Center for Increasing Order for Minorities and STS a few years ago, Chairman of the Minister of K Chandrasekhar Rao said the state government would now provide a resolution in the assembly to take the census of state caste.
He found a mistake with the BJP government to send a written statement in the Supreme Court, revealing his inability to take the Census BC in the country.
KCR said there was a need to improve orders for SCS from 15%, because the SCS population has increased in the past few decades.
The Aimim Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisa and Mallu Mallu Leader Bhatti Vikramarka also urged in assembly during the debate about the Dalit Bandhu scheme that the state government to pass the resolution on Caste Census and send it to the center.
CM says there are incompatibility between the population and SCS reservations that are expanded to them.
In accordance with the ‘Samagra Kutumba’ survey conducted by the government in 2014, the SCS population in Telangana was 17% of the total state population – around 17 families of Lakh Dalit.
But in some districts such as manserial, the SCS population is 26%, while 22% in the Jayashankar district of Bhupalapally, 21% in Jangaon, Khammam, Rangiteddy and Vicarabad and 20% in Karimnagar.
The lowest SCS population (11%) is in Hyderabad, he explained.
“Go with these numbers, the SCS population grows every year and there is a need to improve their reservation accordingly,” KCR said.
In April 2017, the Telangana Government passed the resolution of improving orders for Muslims from 4% to 12% and STS from 6.5% to 9.8% in the State Assembly.
This center rejects a reservation based on religion, while the material increase in the STS quota is still delayed by the center.
