Thiruvananthapuram: There has been a significant increase in category B and category C patients in districts in the government sector in the past week.

As for patients in category C, the increase is more than 100% in one week; It peaked from 56 to 121 during the same period.
The district government has issued a strict regulation in this district, which is under Category C because of an increase in inpatient care as many as 54% of category C patients is now being treated at a medical hospital, while 36% are currently under treatment at public hospitals.
Also, 45% of patients in category B have been treated in medical colleges, while 31% are under treatment in Sat.a a total of 112 patients are under the Category C at Medical College Hospital.

Hospital occupancy in the government sector also shows an increase; From 261 to 383 in one week.
Residential in the district has dropped from 40 to 37 in a week.
A total of 166 beds in government icus and private hospitals were occupied on Monday.
The ventilator for the government and private sector is 39.
Meanwhile, the district on Friday recorded 3,256 positive cases.
While this number showed a drastic decline in positive cases when compared to previous days, officials signaled that the dip in the number was mainly due to errors in the portal to upload test results.
The LDMS portal (LabSys) has developed technical disorders and the NIC team has worked to solve problems.
Errors have resulted in a chaotic situation because health officials cannot make IDs and SRF laboratories cannot upload test results.
At present, the Excel sheet is being circulated and the official is asked to fill in details and send it to the designated Mail ID.
Hard copy along with samples is also sent to the laboratory.
Lab reports available until January 22 showed that there was a decrease in the number of tests from 20,820 to 13,697 in three days.
This is mainly because of test results that are not uploaded because of errors in the portal.
