Surat: Assistant Regional Transportation Officers (A-RTO) and three agents were arrested on Friday for issuing driving licenses without compulsory driving tests and passing other official procedures after the complaint nested in the Cybercrime Cell of City Police.
Police officials said that they arrested four accused, Nilesh Mevada (36), a resident of Nakshtra Solitaire in Adajan, which was posted as an assistant official at the Regional Transportation Office (RTO), Letters, and Three Agents – Sahil Vadhvaniya (28), a resident of LB Park Society at Ghod Dod Road, Indrasinh Dodiya (37), a resident of Loliya Dholka Village, and Jash Panchal (23), a resident of Rajhans Apple in Palanpur Village.

The license is issued without a driving test and enters fake data on the RTO server,” said the city police commissioner, Ajay Tomar.
The four was ordered under various parts of the Indian criminal code including 406 (penalty for criminal trust violations), 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for cheating purposes), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and also part of the action.

Then, RTO letter officials submitted complaints with Cybercrime cells which stated that driving licenses were issued for 10 applicants on three dates – June 24, 2020, January 27, 2021 and 2721 – without following the right procedure.
The complaint mentions such differences there are no records of vehicle registration numbers used by applicants to pass the driving test and there is no video recording from the driving test.
The complaint stated that the defendant accessed the RTO computer system by passing permission and issuing a driving license.
