New Delhi: MG Motor India expects a significant volume of the upcoming Arter SUV and increases its production at the Halol factory at the end of the quarter to 7,000 units, a top company official said.
The launch and price revealed expected in mid-October, Astor would land in a very competitive C segment – dominated by people like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
“Astor began to achieve our dealers and response to Astor had been strong.
At present, our facilities in Halol stirring around 50,000 vehicles every year.
We aim to increase to 85,000 units at the end of the next quarter (Q3 FY22),” said Gaurav Gupta, COO, MG Motor India.
Without commenting on further plant expansion, Gupta added that we try to optimize our resources and improve before investing in newer facilities.
The Halol factory in Gujarat has a capacity of producing 1,00,000 units every year.
Astor, the ZS version is seized that the SAIC-supported MG is sold globally, will be offered in only gasoline options.
