Gurugram: At 104, Covid active cases in the city are at a height of five months.
The last time the city had more than 100 active cases on July 4 since then, there was a slowdown in the average case, which was taken again after the festival and marriage season.
The city has added 147 Covid cases in the first 12 days of December.
Since the second week of November, it has added more than nine cases every day on average.
That number has increased to 12 months.
Although the average case rises, the level of prospitis is still around 0.5%.
Officials said the increase in the number of cases of everyday was due to increased testing after concern over the omicron variant.
“Gurugram, who did 3,000 tests every day in November, was examining 4,000 average samples now.
So, there is a slight increase in everyday case.
But the level of prospitis does not change much.
The situation is controlled,” said Virender Yadav, Head of Officer medical.
In the last 24 hours, health authorities have collected 4,206 samples for antigen tests and RT-PCRs.
So far, 22.08.328 samples have been sent for testing in the city, which is 20.22,277 negative while the results of 1,721 are awaited.
Hospital reception too, has not shown many differences in the past two weeks.
At present, six Covid patients are in hospitals and 98 in house isolation.
On Sunday, a total of 17 people found have been infected with a virus, taking the calculation to 1,81,845.
The Ministry of Health said 11 patients had recovered on Sunday, pushing the total recovery to 1,80,816.
So far, 925 people in the city have died of Covid.
The Ministry of Health urges residents to follow the Covid protocol in public places because cases tend to rise with temperatures.
“There have been general weaknesses among people about safety protocols, which are also reasons in the case.
We have observed that people, in many cases, do not follow the appropriate behavior of Covid,” said Yadav.
Most new covid patients, he added, experienced a mild infection.
On Monday, in the meantime, 45 government session sites will be arranged for vaccination – 39 for covishield, five for covaxin and one for Sputnik V.
