Ghaziabad: District has reported alarming numbers in terms of diseases transmitted through vectors.
Ghaziabad has so far reported 109 cases of dengue fever, the highest in four years.
In 34 this season, the typhus scrub is also at the highest point of all time.
However, the number of malaria patients was stood at 11.
Of the 109 cases of dengue fever, 11 confirmed on Tuesday.
While 89 patients came from Ghaziabad himself, the rest came here for care from other districts.
In 2018, Ghaziabad reported 68 cases, which increased to 88 in 2019.
By 2020, there were only 15 cases.
Typhus scrub cases are also the reason for worry.
Of the 34 cases this year, five were reported on Tuesday.
Last year, the district reported only 2 cases.
Before that, the Ministry of Health did not have specific data about typhus scrubs.
Officials said they had formed four teams for regional supervision from which a large number of cases were reported.
Municipal Company Officials, Rapid Response Team (RRT), Health Center and the Malaria Department have conducted a household survey to examine fever patients.
The door-to-door survey, which will end in a few days, has now been expanded until the end of this month considering the increased amount.
Each of the four teams has been assigned a particular job.
“For example, Wing Malaria moves in carrying out anti-larval and fogging exercises in 50 buildings around the patient’s house.
The doctor’s team, Asha and Anganwadi workers from health centers traveling around the house and distributing drugs.
The response team quickly conducted a fever patient contact , while civil bodies are involved in neglecting activities in the region, “said RK Gupta, district supervision officer.
Dr.
Gupta said that from Tuesday, the Ministry of Health had begun to collect details of all fever patients who came to 57 government medical facilities in the district – three hospitals, four public health centers and 50 urban phon.
The aim, he added, is launching a special campaign in the fields where the maximum case is reported.
Until now, the Department has recorded details only from those who are hospitalized with symptoms of tifus, malaria or scrub.
So far, 20,000 people have been tested for malaria, while more than 480 have provided their samples for dengue fever.
A total of 770 typhoid tests and 35 typhus scrubs have been made.
In the household survey conducted by the government from September 6, more than 2,200 patients were found with fever until Tuesday.
In addition, 20-25 patients are received every day to the hospital.
Of these, around 35% are children, officials said.
Officials clarify that acceptance is more than precautions and many of the people are repatriated after the test.
Official said the situation was “controlled”.
“Viral fever spread rapidly during the rainy season and people are awakened.
However, the situation was controlled because most patients recovered and there was no mortality that had been reported so far.
This department also has enough drugs,” Bhavtosh Shankhdhar said, the head of the officer medical.
