New Delhi: City continued to shiver when the cold wave swiped on Monday with the weather department recorded the minimum temperature in Safdarjung, considered the average for Delhi, at 3.2 degrees Celsius.
Lodhi Road continues to be the coldest area at 3.1 degrees Celsius.
According to the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), national capital is likely to see several changes to the weather phenomenon for seven days from Wednesday because of the arrival of two consecutive western disorders.
This can end cold waves, causing turbidity, change the wind to the east wind which is warm and humid, and a possible drizzle on weekends.
IMD said the minimum temperature might drift around 4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
“The chances of cold waves from December 22 were very low due to the arrival of two back-to-back western disorders, the first on Wednesday night and the others on December 24.
The city will begin to see the wind and turbidity of the moist from December 23.
Reducing the temperature of the day of the day.
But the minimum temperature will increase when heat is trapped because of the cloud, “said RK Jenamani, a senior scientist at IMD.
“The second western disorder can cause light or drizzle rain on December 26 and 27.
Most of the remaining weeks will see the east winds unlike the northwest winds today,” he added.
While Monday saw cold cold winds and cold winds up to 10 km, which leads to cold waves, Tuesday most will see a calm wind as an introduction to future western disturbances, Jenamani shows.
On Sundays, 15-20kmph wind speeds.
The decline shows the direct effect on city air quality which falls on Monday from “poor” to be “very poor”.
Cold waves or harsh winter conditions in the region directly depend on cold northwest wind speeds, while with western disorders, wind direction changes and mercury rises.
The city has experienced a cold wave on Sunday in an isolated Lodhi area.
Western disorders are high flow of wind moisture and clouds from the Mediterranean Sea to the Himalayas which sometimes leads to thunder activities in northern India.
It also leads to changes in the wind direction of cold and dry in the northwest to warm and humid to the east which leads to cloudy.
According to IMD, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 3.2 degrees Celsius, five notches below the season average, such as fighting 4.6 degrees the day before.
The maximum temperature is 21 degrees Celsius, notch below the season average, such as opposing 19.2 degrees on Sunday.
The maximum and minimum temperature in Lodhi Road is 21 and 3.1 degrees Celsius such as fighting 19.8 and 3.6 on Sundays.
On Tuesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures tend to drift around 21 and 4 degrees Celsius, with IMD forecasting especially the sky which is bright throughout the day but the fog is shallow in the morning.
Cold waves are realized when minimum temperatures are lower or equal to four degrees Celsius or at least four degrees Celsius below the average season.
Meanwhile, the air quality index, on a scale of 0 to 500, was recorded at 332 such as against Sunday 271.
According to Safar, it will decline further, but still “very poor”.
