Noida/Ghaziabad: Gautam Budh Nagar reported 34 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, taking the district’s tally to 62,768.
This is the lowest single-day spike in over two months.
Also, one fatality was reported in the past 24 hours, taking the district’s toll to 460.
A total of 216 people were discharged from hospitals, taking the total recoveries to 61,908.
Active cases in the district stood at 400 on Monday, going below 500 for the first time in over two months.
The district’s recovery rate is now 98.6% and the fatality rate is 0.7%.
The remaining active cases also are 0.6% of the total cases.
A total of 10,469 people were vaccinated at 69 government centres across GB Nagar on Monday.
Those who were jabbed include 768 people over 60 years, 2,845 people in the 45-59 age group and 6,840 people in the 18-44 category.
Also, six frontline workers got their second shots.
Meanwhile, Ghaziabad recorded 22 fresh cases on Monday.
With this, the district’s tally rose to 55,270.
As many as 38 patients were discharged from hospitals and home isolation at the same time.
Altogether, 54,339 patients have recovered and discharged in the district.
At present, there are 480 active cases.
The recovery rate of Ghaziabad stands at 98.3% while the case fatality rate is 0.8%.
Overall, 13,191 people from all categories were vaccinated on Monday in Ghaziabad.
According to official figures, 7,320 persons in the age bracket of 18-44 years were given shots, while 4,296 people above 45 years and 1,373 above 60 years were inoculated at 102 session sites in 64 government centres.
As far as two guardian special vaccination centres are concerned, 49 people were vaccinated at Delhi Public School on Meerut road and 48 at Mansarovar Bhawan in Indirapuram.
