At 5 BSP MLAs Fulfill Akhilesh, Put off switch-over buzz

LUCKNOW: In what’s being viewed as a precursor to some realignment of political affiliations prior to the 2022 assembly elections in UP, in least two rebel MLAs out of Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party fulfilled Samajwadi Party main Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday.
The meeting, that lasted for approximately one hourhas sparked speculation regarding the MLAs formally linking SP in the not too distant future.
The list contained the majority of the aforementioned MLAs suspended by BSP supremo Mayawati at October 2020 following the Rajya Sabha surveys — Aslam Ali, Hargovind Bhargav, Mohammad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Hakim Lal Bind, Mohammad Aslam Raini, Sushma Patel along with Vandana Singh — even though it was uncertain which of those seven had fulfilled Akhilesh.
Resources said six of those suspended MLAs were scheduled to fulfill the prior UP CM but among these fell out in the last time because he had been occupied using the zila panchayat surveys in which his spouse is an offender.
Sources said each of the six MLAs would officially join SP when the monsoon session of this meeting is finished.
Sources said a number of those MLAs’ kin have joined SP to organize with SP cadres before the crossover.
Suspended BSP MLA out of Bhinga (Shravasti) Mohammed Aslam Raini, nevertheless, attempted to play down the accounts of his interview with Akhilesh.
“We could meet anybody,” he explained, adding there was no evidence of such a meeting.
About potential political movements, Raini stated 11 BSP MLAs were together with him all of these would get together and create a new party under the direction of prior BSP veteran Lalji Verma, who was recently sacked from the celebration.
Verma, nevertheless, denied any such programs.
