Ludhiana: The district records the highest number of dengue cases in a day in the season on Monday, when 68 patients were confirmed to contract disease.
Of the 68 new cases, 47 came from the city, three of Khanna, one of Khanna, one of Khanna, one from Khanna, one from Jagraon and 17 of the rural areas.
With this, the total number of cases has increased to 827.
Of these, 609 came from the city of Ludhiana, 35 of Jagraon, 27 of Khanna and 156 of rural areas.
From cases of rural areas, 29 came from Sudhar, 25 of Sahnewal, 15 of Pakhowal, 14 of Sidhwan’s bet, 12 of the Malaud, eight of Hathur, seven each from Machhiwara and Manupur and six of Samrala.
There are 2,397 seconds of dengue cases in the district until Monday.
A total of 551 patients had recovered so far, 276 were hospitalized, including 259 in the private center.
Regions from where cases have come including Mundian Kalan, BRS Nagar, Gurdev Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Barewal, Barewal Road, Greenfield, Model City Extension, Model City, Shivpuri, Shastri Nagar, Punjab Mata Nagar, Kundanpuri, Prem Nagar, Agar Nagar, Jassdev Singh Nagar, Dhandra Road, Basti Jodhewal, Subash Nagar, Sarabha Nagar.
The official health department they asked the hospital whether their patients were infected with DENV-2 or DENV-1 strain of dengue fever.
