Nagpur: Come on Friday and Nagpur University will provide the highest number of degrees in a decade during the 108th meeting.
About 77,912 undergraduate and PG students will be given the title this year.
The number is 64,993 during the 107th meeting held last year.
Subhash Chaudhari Regional Chancellor linked a big leap to the online inspection system and liberal marking policy adopted by the University, according to the direction of the Maharashtra government during the Covid outbreak-19 years ago.
While interacting with the media on Wednesday, VC was accompanied by Sanjay Dudhe, Profulla Sable and other exam director, said the ceremony would be held at the Convocated Hall with a number of people.
As reported by TOI, the University will present 188 medals and gifts to students in the presence of BS Koshyari Chancellor, which will lead the function of Delhi in virtual mode.
Retired Judge Supreme Court Vikas Sirpurkar will be the lead guest of the function, which will be broadcast live on social media platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, and Cisco Webex.
On that occasion, the former Head of Indian Justice Sharad Bobde will be given the title Doctor of Law (LLD).
Sable said about 70,000 students appeared in the 2020 summer end year exam where 95% passed.
“The exam participants were given the option to complete 25 questions from 50, because the entire syllabus was not covered.
This is the reason for the maximum number of students who clean the paper easily.
However, now we have tightened rules and students must complete 40 questions in one hour,” he said.
