Ahmedabad: On Thursday, for the second day in a row, the city is registered with 18 cases of fresh covid and one death.
This is the lowest number of new Covid cases in a day since May 2020.
AMC officials said that for June 9, the city’s daily case has been in two digits and the number of active cases has dropped below 800 cases.
At 11 o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the city had 791 active cases.
On Thursday night, the number was expected to be 771.

From the state counting of 84 cases on Thursday, the City section was 21.4%.
Officials said that 18 new cases were mainly from the western part of the city, and the South Zone.
The center zone, east and north see only a few cases per day.
AMC official said the second wave of cases, in April and May, the majority of cases of West Ahmedabad, which accounted for around 65% of the total cases.
In the western part of the city, Bangsal Thaltej, Gota, Bodakdev, and Chandkheda in the North West Zone; Jodhpur, Vejalpur and Bopal in the South West and Navrangpura Zone, Paldi, Vastra, Naranpura, Ranip, and Vadaaj in the West Zone contributed most cases.
On Thursday only around 798 vendors, shop owners and other people dealing with the public, vaccinated.
The total number of people who have received the vaccine is 13,626.
The Central Zone officials contributed the majority of these people were vaccinated, 360, followed by the North Zone (117) and the West Zone (106).
