At the current level, it will take a year to fully immunize the LKO

Lucknow: Country capital may have crossed the milestone of giving 17 lakh covid vaccine doses in six months, but with current daily average inoculation rate, informal analysis shows that it will take at least one year to fully immunize the adult district of Lucknow population 36 lakh with Two dosage courses.
The mass immunization campaign began on January 16.
Nearly 17.2 doses of lakh were given on July 17.
Of these, around 7.8 doses of lakh were used to fully vaccinate 3.9 lakh people (10.8% of the population) with two shots.
About 9.4 Lakh receivers (26.1%) have received one dose and are waiting for seconds after the completion of the GAP period.
This means 22.7 people lakh (63%) have not taken a single dose.
According to the Ministry of Health data, in six months, vaccination drives lasted for 153 business days with an average of 11,242 inoculation every day.
However, the level of vaccination increased significantly in June with a daily average of 18,800.
One-day vaccination count was highest on June 25 when 28,131 people were given the first or second dose.
However, compared to June, the average vaccination every day in July has so far dropped to around 17,600.
Rough calculation shows that to fully immunize the rest and those who wait for the second dose, health authorities need to manage 54.8 lakh more doses.
If vaccination continues with the July value, it will take 31 days to cover up the entire population of adults with two doses.
Because vaccination in government centers is not carried out on Sundays and holidays, the campaign will require at least 365 days or 12 months to solve it.
However, if vaccination is done with a June value, the process will take 11 months.
And, if the steps increase to June 25 when more than 28,000 were given a shot in a day, the campaign would end in just seven months, which meant in February.
The period of time can be dropped for up to five months (at the end of this year) by encouraging and involving private players.
When contacted, Dr.
MK Singh District Immunization Officer said, “Our target is to cover up the entire population of adults with at least a dose at the end of September before the start of the third wave of anticipated pandemic.
We combine more private hospitals and encourage them to buy vaccines so that the number The private center can be increased to 50 of the 10-12 available.
This is, if it happens, it will provide a big boost for the campaign.
“” Similarly, we plan to establish special camps in religion or workplace.
In addition, cluster vaccination In rural areas and the suburbs will also provide a big boost.
It has started from three district blocks.
In a cluster campaign, 100% of the adult population of localities is vaccinated in a timely manner with micro planning and persuasion by visiting every household in the area.
