At the United Nations, India offers support to Afghanistan but does not promise money

New Delhi: Assert India will stand with Afghans, Foreign Minister, S Jaishankar said it is very important that the provider of humanitarian assistance is given unlimited access, unlimited and direct to Afghanistan which will include regular commercial air operations.
Overcoming the UN High Level Meeting on the Humanitarian Situation in Afghanistan on Monday, the Minister said the recent UNC resolution 2593 which called for Afghan land was not used for terrorism and emphasized the need for fighting it in Afghanistan itself must “guide” the community.
India did not promise money to the Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, maybe the first time in 20 years that has not been carried out even when Jaishankar detailed Indian development assistance and assistance to Afghanistan starting from protein biscuits that were enriched to infrastructure development and capacity.
“As a close neighbor, India monitors developments in Afghanistan with ‘understandable concern’,” Jaishankar said and called for “Normalization of Regular Commercial Operations of Kabul Airport” which can help flow of relief material to Afghanistan.
Travel problems, a safe engagement that can emerge as a barrier to humanitarian assistance must be resolved immediately, he said.
Even as the recent UNDP report showed 72% to 97% of the Afghan population can enter into poverty, Jaishankar said, “there are marine changes in the political, economic, social and security situation of Afghanistan, and consequently their human needs,” without explicitly referring on the Taliban.
Until the Taliban takeover in mid-August, India has a developmental presence in all 34 provinces in the country.
Secretary of the British Foreign Minister Dominic, spoke at the same meeting, said he was afraid of the collapse in Afghanistan and regional instability.
“We will not provide direct assistance to the Taliban and because it is very important that aid organizations can act freely and safely.” It looks the main theme – the request that access without obstacles to Afghanistan is restored with people allowed to leave if they want.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi requested funds and reserves of Afghanistan parked abroad to be released to help the Taliban government.
Because there is little international trust in the current Taliban government, it might be a few moments.
