New Delhi: Star Indian Luger Shiva Keshavan has attracted the government’s attention to the suffering of 2022 candidates for the country’s winter Olympics, saying that they have used crowdfunding due to lack of financial support.
Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing from February 4-20 next year.
“There are 150 days left for the winter Olympics.
Reminders to the government that not one winter sports federation are currently recognized and qualified for funding in India,” Keshavan tweeted.
“Athletes do crowdfunding online!,” He added.
The 40-year-old Keshavan is the Olympics six times and the Indian flag carrier at the winter Olympics.
He has participated in the Winter Olympics in Single Men Luge since the Nagano 1998 match in Japan.
