Kenya: Indian athlete Shaili Singh on Friday eligible for the final of the princess lengthy event at the ongoing Athletics World Championship in Nairobi.
Shaili jumped 6.40m in the third attempt to register his best show at the event to qualify for the final in Group B.
Indian athletes topped the women’s leap qualification.
In the first and second efforts on Friday, Shaili has recorded a jump of 6.34m and 5.98m respectively.
Automatic qualification mark is 6.35 m.
Previously on that day, Nandini Athletes Agasara qualified for the semi-finals of the 100m set at the ongoing Mega event.
Nandini, who recorded 14.18 seconds in the event, will take action in the semi-finals later on Friday (5:35 pm Ist).
On Thursday, Rohan Kamble gave the reason for the Indian contingent to smile by making him a semi-final of the 400m son’s obstacle from the showpiece.
