KABUL: ATM services have been continued in several Afghan provinces for the first time since the Taliban took control of the country in August, reported local media.
The reactivation of the ATM machine will further facilitate the banking system, said Da Afghanistan Bank, the country’s central bank.
“Da Afghanistan has made serious efforts to bring the banking system to a normal level.
ATM reactivation is part of the effort,” said Sabir Mamad, a bank spokesman who said.
People in Afghanistan have faced difficulties in withdrawing money from banks because ATMs were closed after the Taliban took control of the country.
“ATM machine activities will have two benefits,” said Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Minister of Finance.
“This will prevent people from extraordinary banks, and can speed up the withdrawal of money,” he added.
Commercial bank ATMs are available in certain fields to facilitate people.
But the central bank has not yet mentioned the number of withdrawals as a limitation of a certain amount of withdrawal.
Someone can only attract USD 200 per week or 20,000 Afghan, according to new policy, according to Khaama Press.
