Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh (Up ATS) anti-terrorist forces arrested a man from Unnao because he had two 9 mm semi-automatic weapons which were prohibited on Friday.
The defendant was identified as Sanoj Kumar, was arrested from the Kotwali Nagar Unnao area.
The police said he also went to Saudi Arabia through Pakistan, Malaysia and Indonesia.
ATS claims that several numbers are under supervision and the suspects are involved in the illegal exchanges with several international weapons dealers.

An official also said that many other people were also related to this weapon racket and investigations were still ongoing.
IG, ATS, Gajendra Goswamy, said that the suspect, who had studied until high school, went to Saudi Arabia in 2005 from where he returned a few years ago.
“In 2020, at the time of Covid-19, someone posted on Facebook with a Japanese work permit that if someone wants to work as a driver or other work abroad.
Sanoj reacts to the post and also sends the Whats application number,” said Goswamy .
“After that the message came on WhatsApp, asked him to share a passport, aadhar card and educational certificate.
Two weeks later, he was told that he would adhere to his city,” said IG, said it was suspicious.
Goswamy said the five-day police prisoner remand was given to ATS by the court.
