Noida: A 28-year-old man suffered severe intestinal damage when his two friends allegedly put the air compressor pipe in his personal part of Tuesday.
Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Vijay Nagar Ghaziabad is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Noida and his condition is declared critical.
The doctor said the part of his small intestine and his rectum had exploded and recovery could take up to six months.
Friends of HandeeP Ankit and Gautam Kumar have been arrested.
The police said three of them worked in the unit for a snack manufacturer in Blok H Sector Noida 63.
Sandeep’s Elder Brother Subhash said the young man had a previous Jaundice and had to undergo treatment for a long time.
“On Tuesday, he left home to work around 7pm, like another day.
He worked as an operator in the unit.
He reached 8pm and about three hours later, we got information that he had been hospitalized,” said Subhash.
He added that Ankit and Gautam insert the air compressor pipe in the Sandeep private part and then released the pressure.
“My brother tried to escape but soon, he began to vomit blood.
Even after that he tried to run,” he said.
Handeep was first taken to Tripathi hospital in sector 119 by others in the unit and then to Esic Hospital.
Later, he shifted to Prakash Hospital in Sector 33.
The doctor at the hospital said it was a rare case and a teenager continued to be critical.
Aruna Reddy, a senior resident doctor at the hospital, said when the patient was brought, his stomach increased and the part of his small intestine and the rectum had exploded.
“A pipe attached to the stomach is used as an excretion channel for now.
If he doesn’t reach on time, it can be fatal,” he said.
The doctor added that recovery might take up to six months.
“Until then, the urine bag will attach to his stomach.
He can’t eat anything,” he said.
Subhash said Ankit and Gautam told the police that the incident occurred when they were “joked” with each other.
“But we suspect they tried to do something else.
At the hospital, my brother tried to talk a little.
He managed to tell us that he tried to run, he spewed blood and that the other four-five people were there and they had laughed at him,” said Subhash.
He alleged that some local thugs known as the Defendant had asked the family to avoid his case.
ACP 1 (middle noida) Abdul Qadir, however, told Toi that the Duo had an argument with sandeep and they tried to kill him.
While Ankit comes from Etu and live in Ghaziabad’s Vijay Nagar, Gautam comes from Bulandshahr and lives in Noida Sector 62.
FIR has been submitted against them under the IPC 323 section (punishment because voluntarily causing injury) and 307 (trying to murder).
Both are produced in court and returned in judicial detention.
