Prayagraj: The University of Allahabad (AU) will soon have a ‘agriculture faculty’ on his campus.
The plan, being processed and taken by Varsity administration based on priority, is part of the AU initiative under the New National Education Policy (NEP-2020).
At present the oldest university in 134 years, year, Y, only has four faculties – art, science, law and trade.
Previously, AU had the Faculty of Engineering and Agriculture, but the same thing was separated from the AU in the past and now functions as two separate identities.
In accordance with the planning of the AU Authority, the new agriculture faculty can appear on the Hindu Hostel campus that has recently obtained universities with rental rentals of Rs 1 per year, for the next 29 years and 11 months.
After preparing, it will offer various vocational courses related to various aspects of agriculture and related areas, preferably from 2023-24.
“The University continues to strive to offer vocational courses and programs that are considered important for the community.
As part of the NEP-2020, the University in one hand prepares to start a new integrated course, while also works to establish the Faculty of Agriculture,” said Prof.
