Jaipur: BJP has expelled former MLA from Bansur, Rohitash Sharma, is considered close to the former Minister of Main Vasundhara Raje from the party for six years on Saturday.
He was expelled after allegations involved in anti-party activities on recommendations by the Discipline Committee.
Sharma has monoplated the center of attention for his pro-raje statement since Satish Poonia has been appointed as the President of the State.
The repetitive statement ‘Raje is BJP, BJP is Raje’, ‘Raje is CM candidate’ or ‘Raje the only mass leader’ has placed it under the party scanner.
He was one of many leaders, including several selected representatives, Pitching Raje did not invite any action.
The front attack on state units and Poonia repeatedly accused them of not playing an active role in the second wave of Covid in Alwar spent some lives.
His criticism of Poonia proved expensive for him.
“He didn’t stop even after the warning repeatedly.
The party leaders reached him to urge him to express his complaint in front of leaders but he continued to embarrass the party in public,” said a source.
Sharma, MLA three times, presented a notification by the Party Discipline Committee on June 24 which looked for his explanation of his statement.
The notice was served after maintaining the BJP National In-Charge Arun Singh with confidence.
The notice did not prevent him from talking and he continued to slam the party’s president in public.
Reacting to that step, Sharma said, “I was expelled by personal reasons by the State President of Satish Poonia.
It is very unfortunate that even though my request, no one called me to present my true party.
I still believe that innocent parties and state leaders have been Abused their position by reviving a loyal party leader.
“The disciplinary committee that was investigating the allegations of him was found involved in anti-party activities.
“The report was delivered to the Office of the President of the State with a recommendation to revive the party’s main position for six years on Saturday and in a few hours he was relieved,” said a source.
He was the cabinet minister at the regime of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat (1993-1998) and was close to him in dealing with political developments.
Raje refers to the cell head handling water problems between countries in 2016.
