Bengaluru: Social Media was Abuzz on Wednesday after the video allegedly claimed that the film star Tamil Vijay Setupathi was attacked by an unknown man at the airport bandaloo.
Bengaluru police have confirmed that it was not an actor who was attacked but his friend who was kicked by a drunk passenger outside the arrival area.
Both parties reached a compromise after the incident and no registered cases.
According to sources with Bengaluru airport, the incident in a viral video showed a man in a white shirt and black pants who jumped and kicked a man in a dark sweater, took place around 11:30 a.m.
on Tuesday outside the arrival arrival of the Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport.
A group of men including Tamil Bintang Vijay Setupathi was walking outside the arrival gate when the suspect attacked the man on the right side of the actor.
Sangawan took place and the CISF personnel in charge immediately arrested the attacker and attacked him to the police of Bengaluru City at the airport.
The probe identified the attacker when Johnson who was a fellow passenger who had an argument with Vijay Settupathi’s friends and fellow Mahagandhi actors inside Bengaluru Airport after they landed.
The problem increased and Johnson, was drunk, attacked Mahagandhi as soon as they left the terminal, the police said.
Johnson and Mahagandhi told Bengaluru police at the airport that they did not want to pursue complaints and wanted to end this problem with a compromise.
All of this happened before Actor Sethupathi who was not injured from the incident and remained on the side of his friend.
Police disappointed Johnson and Mahagandhi also left the police station after both men gave a statement about a fight, the source added.
Bintang Tamil Setupathi arrived at Bengaluru for filming television shows on the chef for the top tamil channels.
