Pune: Audi India on Tuesday announced the beginning of the production of the Q5 medium-sized premium SUV at the Savwipl factory in Aurangabad.
With Q5, the German car maker will continue the local assembly SUV here.
Audi Q5 is expected to go on sale at the end of October.
Audi has suspended sales and production of Q3, Q5 and Q7 with BS6 effects.
2021 Audi Q5 will compete with Mercedes-Benz GLe and BMW X5.
“We plan to launch a locally produced Q5 in November.
We have been waiting for this for a long time.
So far we do it very well regardless of the fact that some of our volume models like q range are not in it full strength,” office PTI news reported, citing the Audi India Head of Balbir Singh Dhillon.
Q5 will be an Audi 9 product in India in 2021.
