Myanmar: Myanmar leader who was overthrown Aung San Suu Kyi faced four additional criminal demands, submitted in court at the country’s second largest city in the country, his lawyer said on Monday.
The legal team has little information about what is accused of Suu Kyi but the accusation includes corruption and that two also flattened in Min Thu, a former minister in his government, said lawyer Min Min Minis told Reuters.
“There are accusations of corruption.
We don’t know why they demanded? Or for what reason? We will find out about it,” he said.
New cases can see Suu Kyi, 76, bound in legal processes in three different cities.
The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize has been held since the February 1 coup and was tried in the capital Naypyitaw for the cost of which included illegal imports and ownership of Walkie-Talkie radio and violated the Coronavirus protocol under the Law of Disaster Management.
He was also billed at Yangon’s court, accused of violations that were not determined by official secret laws, can be sentenced to a maximum of 14 years in prison.
His legal team rejected all charges.
Lawyer leader Khin Maung Zaw said a cross examination on Monday a witness prosecution revealed the attack at Suu Kyi’s house had been carried out illegally without a warrant.
At a press conference on Monday, military spokesman Zaw Min Tun did not mention new charges.
Answering the question about Suu Kyi, he said he had violated the constitution when the position of the State Council was created, which he said came between the President and Vice President in the commando structure.
It was not clear whether the accusation was included in new charges.
Suu Kyi was banned from the presidency because of foreign citizenship from her children and her partner.
He served as a member of the State Council and was the leader de facto before he overthrew.
