Pune: Sunita Santosh Rathod (36), Aunt Putra Four-year-old doctor who was saved on Wednesday after kidnapping eight days ago, died when the car she wasped from Pune fell into the railing bridge near the Bhingar camp in Ahmednagar City at around 3.30 Morning on Thursday.
Her husband, Santosh, who was a professor with agricultural college and drove cars, and their children, safe (7) and vague (14), injured in the accident.
“The husband is undergoing treatment at the hospital in Ahmednagar, while the two children have been hospitalized in Pune with a serious injury,” Assistant Inspector Shirishkumar Deshmukh from Police Bhingar Camp told toi.
“The cause of the accident was confirmed.
Our prime facie did not rule out the possibility of a husband (Santosh) to feel sleepy when the car crashed into a bridge fence at high speed,” Dishmukh said.
Rathhod’s family had begun to Pune from Nanded on Wednesday night to meet Sunita’s brother and the boy’s father rented Chavan and his family after learning that the boy had been found.
The family had spoken to Chavan before starting with pune in their car, police said.
Deshmukh said, “For now, we have registered an accidental mortality report and will receive a call on the FIR registration after our question about the accident case is complete.” The Chavan family in Pune was in a surprised situation about learning about the accident, police said.
