Aurangabad: Administrative District Aurangabad estimates damage due to heavy rainfall at Rs 550 Crore.
Aurangbad District Guardian Minister Subhash Desai gave a briefing of the State Cabinet on Thursday that Marathwada had witnessed the loss of 17 human life because of the incident related to rain, in addition to other large-scale damage.
According to the official release, plants in more than 4.6 lakh hectares, 1,860 houses, road 740km, 17 market tanks and 21 types of kolhapuri dam have been damaged.
“District administration has completed the initial assessment of damage and has extended assistance.

Aurangabad Regency has received 1.5 times the average annual rainfall this year so far, causes flooding in several parts,” Desai said.
He said that Zilla Parishad-Run schools, projects and medium and small irrigation roads among other infrastructure have been large damage in the Aurangabad district.
Desai also said that Pancanama in the areas affected by rain in Aurangabad Regency was being carried out in accordance with the norm of the National Disaster Response (NDRF) to ensure the maximum possible official assistance.
As official data, the Aurangabad district has received 1.003.6 mm rainfall since June 1, which accounts for 168.9% of the expected bath.
The rainfall received so far has crossed the shower quota of 673 mm between June and December.
