Aurangabad: Hotels, restaurants, and other companies that have been allowed to operate with only 50% capacity requested by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to display their total capacity at the entry point.
DDMA, led by district collectors with other major officials including the Police Commissioner and Commissioner of Kota as its members, have warned that non-compliance will invite action.
In addition to hotels and restaurants, companies such as chaos, government and private offices, functional spaces, fitness centers, salons, and beauty parlores among others are also asked to operate with a capacity of 50% of labor or customers according to the latest order issued by DDMA details.

Resident collector Aurangabad Anant Gavhane said all the companies concerned are expected to display the board at their entry point, determine the total capacity of their seat.
“Simple size will help people know the capacity of 50% seating is limited and avoid crowding.
It is very important to avoid crowding in places that are strictly requested to operate with only 50% seating capacity,” he said.
Some hotel owners and restaurants say they are fine by following the steps put by DDMA.
“We have installed a board that states that Take-Away orders are permitted after 4pm.
The mention of seating capacity can be made on the same board,” Abhijeet Ranjangaokar, hotel owner from the N-11 sector, said.
Among other specific limitations, companies such as gym, beauty salons, spas and health centers have been prohibited from using AC as a prevention of producing conductive conditions for the spread of Coronavirus, said.
