Canberra: The Australian Government said modern next month would be the third Covid-19 vaccine available in Australia.
Prime minister, Scott Morrison, said the Australian vaccine regulator approved a modernum shot on Monday for adults.
The first million doses will arrive in Australia at the end of September and 10 million moderna shots are scheduled to be sent to Australia this year, the Minister of Health, said Greg Hunt.
Australia has a lack of pfizer vaccines and astrazeneca astrazeneca which is produced locally, which are widely rejected to be taken because of a slight risk of blood clotting.
New South Wales and Victoria stated, where cities were in locking because of the virus outbreak, had more than one million unwanted astrazeneca doses, media reported.
Only 22% of adults among the Australian population consisting of 26 million people have been fully vaccinated on Monday.
The government hopes to provide a vaccine to every Australian adult who wants one at the end of the year.
