Canberra: Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the government would not be able to evacuate as much as possible Afghanistan from the desired kabul.
Australia sent three jet refueling transportation and air to the air with 250 military personnel to repatriate more than 130 Australians and their families from Afghanistan.
Australia also wants to evacuate hundreds of Afghans who have worked for Australian and diplomats in roles such as interpreters.
Morrison said he was optimistic that Australia’s evacuation operations would succeed even though the Taliban controlled Kabul.
“I want you to know that we will continue to do everything we can for those who have been standing with us,” Morrison said in a message to 39,000 Australian military personnel on duty in Afghanistan.
He added that “support will not reach everything you should.” Foreign Minister Marise Payne said the “several hundred” Afghanistan who had worked for Australia remained in Afghanistan.
Australia has provened 430 since April.
