New Delhi: Joint commitment of India and Australia with open and inclusive international regulatory-based regulatory and indo orders discussed when foreign ministers and Australian defenses meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne said the shared commitment was discussed at the meeting.
Defense Minister Payne and Australia Peter Dutton met Modi after holding the ‘Two-Plus-Two’ dialogue with their Indian colleagues Jaisankar and Rajnath Singh.
“Australia & India are a long-taking partner relationship,” Payne tweeted.
In the talks ‘two-plus-two’, both parties vowed to work freely, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific, regions that have witnessed increasing Chinese firmness.
After the dialogue, Jaisankar said it reflected the comfort that both parties had achieved bilateral relations, especially in the strategic and security fields.
“The peaceful development of the Indo-Pacific region has become the focus of our relationship.
Our two countries believe that it must be formed in a way of participating and collaborative,” he said.
Minister of External Affairs said both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together for peace, stability and prosperity of all countries in the region.
“This will include international commands based on rule, freedom of navigation in international waters, promoting connectivity and respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all countries,” he said.
