Australian opposition promises deeper reduction in emissions

Canberra: Australia, Australia will set a more ambitious target to reduce the gas emissions of the glasses of 43% at the end of the decade if the government changes hands in early elections next year, the opposition leader said on Friday.
Labor leader left-left Anthony Albane establishes climate policy as a battle line in elections expected to be held between March and May.
Scott Morrison’s prime minister was widely criticized at the UN climate summit in Scotland last month for his conservative government target to reduce Australian emissions only 26% to 28% below the level of 2005 in 2030.
It is the same target on the Australian Summit in Paris 2015, While other rich countries have promised far deeper cuts in efforts to contain global warming to less than 1.5 degrees Celsius.
Alban said the change of government means Australia will be able to attend the next international climate and “not in a naughty corner.” Australia’s economy is similar to the aim of Canada and workers similar to Canadian targets reduce emissions by 40% to 45% at the end of the decade.
“We think that we really balance because one of the things I want to make sure is that we have a policy that doesn’t leave the people behind, which supports the industry, which supports work,” Albanese said.
But Morrison said the labor target would increase the price of electricity and cost work.
“We are on my way to zero zero in 2050,” Morrison said.
“We are not on the way to drive people from their work and force their electricity prices.” The Morrison coalition was narrowly re-elected in 2019 when the workforce promised to cut emissions by 45% by 2030 and reached zero net in 2050.
The government has recently adopted a zero zero target.
Morrison was the Cabinet Minister in 2014 when the newly chosen government revoked a 2-year-old carbon tax.
The government’s climate policy has since rejected all steps that will make pollutants pay their emissions.
