Noida: In a year, the authority of Noida and Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will provide training to around 860 students.
The internship program will be launched by both government institutions on August 25 and training is expected to start from September 21.
While the authority will hold two batch 250 students in a year, Metro Noida will sharpen the skills of 180 students twice a year.
Private college or recognized government students and universities interested in seeking experiences with the government agency can submit an apprentice, officials said.
The duration of the training will be four weeks to four months.
Both institutions will also expect students to deposit a fee of Rs 4,000 for training for up to eight weeks and 6,000 Rs for a longer duration.
“Nominal costs will be taken because we only want serious students to submit a training program.
In return, we will offer a welcome kit, a Metro travel card and several other facilities for students in our office,” said Ritu Maheshwari, CEO of Noida and NMRC authorities .
Students who pursue undergraduate courses in civil engineering, architecture, city planning, environment, public health, electricity, computer science and will be trained by authority.
NMRC, on the other hand, will involve students who pursue courses in civil, electronics, telecommunications techniques, or MBA.
“We will also provide cash prizes and gifts for students to work at the end of the training program,” Maheshwari said.
