Ghaziabad: To overcome the problem of traffic loads at GT Road, Ghaziabad police will mark automatic pedicab while standing to take and drop passengers on stretches.
Police have also advised trade unions to practice self regulation and self-discipline in parking, behavior with passengers and follow traffic rules.
For this, the police also held a meeting with the automatic rickshaw driver association in Kotwali on Thursday.
In areas near Ghantaghar, Jassipur Cut and Turabnagar Market, commuters must face long Snarls issues.
SP (Traffic) Ramanand Kushwaha, said that there were six automatic standing in the area, but they needed more stands.
“There are many points in GT Road, Meerut Road, Wazirabad Road, the place of traffic is affected due to the wrong parking of autos and tapos.
Challans have begun many times, but the conditions are the same.
To overcome this problem, a plan made with GDA to build Some auto stands at the district level, “he added.
Amit Kumar, Sho, the Kotwali police station, suggested automatic pedicab drivers to work with the police to maintain a smooth traffic movement on stretches, if not, they must seize their car.
“We have told them that we will mark several points for four to five cars to take and drop passengers,” Sho added.
He said they had told the driver that this rule would be implemented in the area within two days and after the action would be taken if the rules were violated.
During the meeting, the automatic driver also shared their problems with the police and said that the shop owner was stretched to park their car on the road because there was no room to deliver the passengers.
Sho assured the drivers who immediately would hold a meeting with all shop owners in the area and raise this problem with them.
